Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup milk (evaporated or fresh, depending on preference)
  • 2–3 tsp black tea leaves (or 2 tea bags)
  • 2–3 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 2–3 cardamom pods (lightly crushed)
  • (Optional) 1 small piece of cinnamon stick or a pinch of saffron

Cooking Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, add water, cardamom, and tea leaves.
  2. Bring to a boil and let it simmer for 3–4 minutes to release the flavor.
  3. Add sugar and milk. Stir well.
  4. Let the mixture simmer on low heat for 5–7 minutes, until it thickens slightly and turns a deep caramel color.
  5. Strain into cups and serve hot.
